Public Art

Public art projects designed by Artery Arts may involve permanent installations or temporary interventions in the public realm.

We always use participatory processes with the community to contribute to elements of the project.

Art-works may involve different mediums of production like film, media or digital arts, creative making processes, drama and live art, and other exploratory processes.

All projects are influenced by the place or environment and its community, heritage and history, in achieving objectives and the final outcome, often carried out following a period of consultation.

Education

Artery Arts delivers exciting arts education packages centres, schools, galleries, museums, and for other public service spaces for users of any age. Professional practitionnaires from different backgrounds and skills provide inspirational programme activities, quality experiences and are committed to processes of engagement through hands on experience.

Artery Arts is also experienced in devising and delivering arts training for staff and other providers of creative activity and have been commissioned to improve creative services through this training.

 eg. Training: Creative processes for working with young people (2008 - 09)   A certified training package developed by Artery and delivered by Artery artists over 8 weeks. Delivered twice on behalf of Lambeth Play Service. Artery was contracted to carry out this training which invited youth providers to attend the sessions having made a case to Lambeth Council that young people who attended youth centres and clubs were not adequately engaged and that play-workers and staff needed to be trained in devising imaginative and learning based creative processes to work with their young people. 

We are also a Arts Award registered centre, and can currently provide Arts Award full certification for young people at bronze and silver level. 

Events

Artery Arts is committed to bringing people together through creative arts practice.

We have excellent event management, production and curating skills to give audiences and participants a fantastic experience of the arts. We often enjoy showcasing creative projects and artists work through exhibitions, private views and events using performance and live art.

Artery Arts have also contributed to many major events and festivals and are aware of the accessiblity and opportunity to engage with diverse audiences in this way.
